About Us

The Legacy of Ayurveda Continues

For thousands of years, Ayurveda has been a part of India’s living heritage—a profound tradition of understanding health, nature, and the relationship between the two. Its knowledge has travelled across generations through ancient texts, teachers, Vaidyas, and practitioners. Today, we believe this legacy deserves not only to be preserved, but also to be understood, strengthened, and carried forward.

Sahastranam

More Than a Name. A Living Purpose.

The name Sahastranam means “a thousand names.” It represents the countless expressions of nature, the depth of traditional knowledge, and the many ways through which we can explore the principles of well-being. Sahastranam Ayurveda was envisioned as more than a brand offering Ayurvedic products; we aspire to contribute to a broader ecosystem where traditional knowledge, responsible manufacturing, scientific research, and patient care progress together.

Founder's Story & Message

I Was Raised Around Ayurveda. Now, I Want to Give My Life to It.

I don't remember a time when Ayurveda was not around me. From childhood, I was surrounded by Ayurvedic medicines, doctors, and conversations about Ayurveda. My father has spent more than 27 years working in this industry. For me, Ayurveda was never simply a subject or a profession; it was the world I grew up in.

When It Became Personal

Years later, during my own journey, an experience changed the way I looked at Ayurveda. A close family member, my bua ji, was diagnosed with cancer and spent weeks at AIIMS Delhi. Our family was told that her condition was extremely serious, and during that time, we also sought Ayurvedic care from Dr. Hemant Modi. Today, nearly four years later, she is still with us and living a healthy life. That experience made me ask a bigger question:

“What could Ayurveda become if we gave it the attention, research, quality, respect, and commitment it deserves?”

A New Generation, A Deeper Responsibility

I chose to study Ayurveda through the BAMS programme because I wanted to understand it deeply—not just inherit a connection to it. I believe scientific evaluation is important, but Ayurveda should also be understood through its own principles and framework.

Our Belief: “Ayurveda should not have to apologise for being Ayurveda.”

The Meaning Behind the Name

The name Sahastranam holds a deeply personal meaning, inspired by the Sahasranama tradition and the spiritual roots connecting my faith with Ayurveda, particularly through Lord Vishnu, Lord Hanuman, and Lord Dhanvantari. It reflects devotion, knowledge, service, and responsibility.
